Stuff for Students: Another Successful Campaign in the Books!

Larry H. Miller Dealerships are proud to announce the end of yet another successful “Stuff for Students” campaign! In partnership with 9NEWS and Volunteers of America Colorado Branch, the initiative donated over $25,000 worth of school supplies to Colorado youth. This amounted to just over 55,000 school supplies for Colorado pupils age K-12. Larry H. Miller Dealerships also presented a $10,000 check to the Volunteers of America Early Childhood Education Center in Denver as part of their initiative.

“It was a great joy for our employees to visit a school and personally witness the smiles on the faces of children who received supplies and to know that they now have what they need to be successful in school,” said Ray Reilly, senior vice president of operations, Larry H. Miller Dealerships. “We are proud of the continued efforts of our dedicated employees and customers, who since 2015 have helped us collect a total of $75,000 in school supplies to benefit Colorado students.”

Donated items from Larry H. Miller Dealerships and other campaign partners have been distributed to 15 school districts throughout Colorado to students in need and living in underserved communities. According to Volunteers of America, approximately 23 percent of school children in the counties they serve are living in poverty, compared to the state average of 14.7 percent. In Colorado school districts, nearly 25,000 pupils enrolled in public schools have been identified as experiencing homelessness.
