LHM Charities

Founded back in 1995, Larry H. Miller Charities (LHM Charities) is a nonprofit foundation that functions as the charitable arm of the Larry Miller group of companies. Assistance from the foundation is directed towards groups based in the community that company performs business. LHM Charities has a special place for helping women and children through fundraising and volunteering. Funds are generated (through large part) through LHM companies and their employees as well as donations from the general public. All fundraising efforts remain in state and are benefit the local community. Since its beginning, Larry H. Miller Charities has amassed a multitude of organizations and worthy causes.
Stuff for Students
For a few years now, Larry H. Miller dealerships have partnered up with local news company: 9 News and the Volunteers of America to help donate to school supplies to children who are in need. Colorado teachers spend an average of over $600 out of their own pockets to give supplies to their students. To help those teachers out, we are asking for charitable donations of any school supplies that you can give. These school supplies can range from backpacks, pencils, highlighters and binders to things for the classroom like tissues and chalk or white board markers. Since 2015, Larry H. Miller dealerships have raised over $50,000 in school supplies and has helped over 60,000 Colorado students. We have dealerships all over the state including Centennial, Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Highlands Ranch and Boulder. Help us reach our goal of making sure that no child is left without the supplies they need to exceed this school year!
5 Days of Giving
Larry H. Miller is proud to announce that we will be participating in the 5 Days of Giving this December. The 5 Days of Giving will be an event where we as a group surprise five different local charities with a $10,000 check for five straight days. We are working with Denver Channel 7 to help spread our message and are asking that you help out wherever you can!

This year, we surprised five organizations with various donations. The first day, we surprised Longmont Meals on Wheels which is an organization that provides warm home-delivered meals to older clients who are in need.

The second day, we visited The Brandon Rooney Memorial Foundation as part of our "5 Days of Giving." The foundation helps cover the burden families face by providing financial assistance during a child's catastrophic injury or major illness.

On Wednesday, we visited the Jeffco Action Center to surprise them with a $10,000 donation to use towards school supplies and warm winter coats, gloves and hats for the children they serve. One out of three students in Jeffco Schools qualifies for free or reduced lunch.

Brent's Place is a truly special place, and we're so honored to have surprised them with $10,000 to use towards their program as part of our "5 Days of Giving." When a family travels to the Denver area seeking life-saving medical treatment for their child, Brent's Place provides a safe-haven. They are one of the only long-term housing options capable of supporting an entire family during the long treatment process. And most importantly - they keep families together during a tough time.

The final day of "5 Days of Giving" we gave a $10,000 donation to the Denver Santa Claus Shop. For 89 years, the DSCS has reached out to serve those in need during the holiday season by providing toys, books and other holiday gifts for children aged newborn through 11 years old. Their mission is to give a toy to every girl and boy who needs one. In 89 years, they've helped more than one million children.
Denver Santa Claus Shop
We are proud to say that with the collective power of the Larry H. Miller family, we were able to host a toy drive for the Denver Santa Claus Shop this December in support of providing happy holidays to everyone in the Denver and extended Colorado area. The drive is going on now through December 10th at any Denver area Larry H. Miller Dealership. With your help, we want to make sure that every child in the greater Denver area has a merry and happy holiday season this year!
